Join us as Meghan Gardner from Guard Up! Inc. speaks to parents about raising your children so that they make safe and smart decisions when confronted with dangerous people and scary situations.

Meghan has over 25 years of training in assault prevention… and more importantly, she is a mom of two girls. She has traveled around the country giving talks and training for everyone from Navy Seal Trainers to Girl Scouts. Her modern approach is not a fear-based list of tactics that instill paranoia… instead, she encourages open, honest communication and special long-term skill building techniques for helping kids mature into confident, aware and savvy adults.

Here are some of the topics included in this talk and question/answer time:

* How to talk to your kids about “Bad People” without scaring them
* Why the old rule of “Never talk to strangers” can compromise your child’s safety
* How to help your children establish personal boundaries and build confidence
* How to make sure your kids tell you if something bad happens to them
* How you can help your child deal with bullies
* How to slowly give your kids the freedom they need as they grow without compromising their safety
…and many more concepts that are important to your child’s well being (and your peace of mind).

A question/answer time will follow the talk and additional resources will be suggested. Raising children who are confident and aware, but not afraid, is easier than you think.
