Join the Robbins Library for a riveting account of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow performed by Vermont PuppeTree with more than 100 shadow puppets. Saturday, October 23, 2:00 PM -3:00 PM. Robbins Library community room. All Ages.

Set in New York State’s Hudson Valley 20 years after the Revolutionary War, Sleepy Hollow depicts the peaceful, bucolic life of the early Dutch settlers in that area.

Sleepy Hollow is at once a comedy and also a dark tale of what happens when obsessive greed and fear rules someone’s life as they do to the hapless “itinerant pedagogue,” Ichabod Crane. At the end of the show, the performers will remove the shadow screens and demonstrate how the shadow puppets are operated, providing a “backstage” view of the production. Pick up tickets ½ hour prior to show.
