For the second year, The Mary Baker Eddy Library kicks-off the holiday season with a fun and educational event for the whole family. Christmas comes alive as actors and singers perform this original, dramatic revue. Sing along as you learn about the origins of today’s Christmas customs and traditions, what Christmas was like in Mary Baker Eddy’s time, and how Americans came to 'care for Christmas.'
This is also a chance to give to those in need as admission to the event will be by donation to a local charity. Donated items must be new and your donation is tax-deductible. Wish lists for designated charities are available at: http://www.marybakereddylibrary.org/events/programs/caring-for-christmas
More ways that you can 'care for Christmas' include:
* From November 23 to December 13, the Library will accept donated items in its lobby.
* On December 4 and 5, donated items will be accepted in lieu of Library admission.
* On December 5, monetary donations may be made directly to charity representatives on site before and after the program.
