seussical junior photoSeussical the Musical, Junior's is a one act play that's storyline mirrors that of Horton Hears a Who!, centering on Horton the elephant's endeavors to protect the people of Who-ville, who live on a tiny speck of dust.

It also features characters and scenarios from many other Seuss books, including the Butter Side Uppers / Downers from The Butter Battle Book, Gertrude McFuzz, and, although none of his original storybook is in the show, the character The Cat in the Hat, is an outside observer, acts as narrator and devil's advocate throughout the show, briefly leaping into the action on several occasions to create conflict and keep the story moving.

The show has great music, wonderful costumes and a cast that puts their heart and soul into this play!

The PALS Children’s Chorus is an independent non-profit organization, in residence at the W. H. Lincoln School in Brookline, MA. PALS was founded by Artistic Director Emerita, Johanna Hill Simpson, in 1989. Our name came from the acronym “Performing Artists at Lincoln School.” PALS now serves students from all seven Brookline K-8 schools, as well as other private and public schools all over the Boston area.

For 20 years, we have been dedicated to transforming children of diverse backgrounds into world-class performers. Our program indelibly changes the lives of children, building confidence, discipline, leadership, and a passion for music that lasts a lifetime.
The PALS program serves approximately 150 choristers, ages 6-14. We are proud of our diversity. Choristers come from all socioeconomic, religious, racial, and cultural backgrounds, and speak twelve different languages at home. PALS is committed to need-blind admission. Tuition covers only 30% of our operating costs.
The children of PALS have performed in dozens of collaborations, with ensembles including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Cantata Singers, Back Bay Chorale, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Boston Early Music Festival, and Boston Philharmonic. We have performed in venues including Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Tanglewood. PALS’ independent choral performances specialize in new and rarely performed music. Our VOICES Concert Series is dedicated to sponsoring new commissions. The PALS choristers also perform two fully staged musicals each year.
With singing and music at its core, our unique choral curriculum also provides training in dance and acting. Children of all ages also learn music literacy and theory through movement. Our revolutionary curriculum enables children to connect with music, audiences, and each other in a way that is truly profound.
