“Time and Time Again,” an original play with music, performed by the Neighborhood School. During the play a time capsule from 1912 is discovered by a group of curious students who magically catch a glimpse of the heart of Boston past, present and future.

One scene relives Opening Day at the Franklin Park Zoo, 100 years ago, when 10,000 people come to see the new bear dens. Location: Mainstage Theatre, Roxbury Community College at the corner of Columbus Avenue and Tremont Street (Roxbury Crossing).

Suggested admission: $5 adults / $3 students. For more information: 617-522-0880 / www.neighborhoodschooljp.org

TIPS↑ top

  • Neighborhood School performances are extravaganzas of music, the value of community, and celebration. All will leave the performance refreshed and children will love imagining themselves on stage with the actors. Neighborhood School is a diverse, independent elementary school located near Franklin Park serving Boston children. Very young children may be distracting to audience members.
