Lea DeLaria has distinguished herself in every form of entertainment that she touches: jazz musician, Broadway diva, actor, writer and stand-up comic. She has toured night clubs and concert halls, and appeared at numerous venues including the A.R.T., the New York City Opera, The Hollywood Bowl, the New York City JVC, the London Jazz Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and as the featured vocalist of THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NEWPORT JAZZ FESTIVAL TOUR, among others.
She made her recording debut Play It Cool in 2000, hailed by the New York Times as 'the Best Jazz Album of 2001’ and ‘Album of the Year’ by the London Times. Play It Cool confirmed Lea as one of the best jazz singers of our time.
