The Dever Players of Boston College High School present Tom Stoppard's play “Arcadia”, an intelligent and witty comedy that spans the last several centuries and the breadth of the most fascinating of man’s eternal questions.

Cleverly set in both 1809 and present day, Stoppard explores architecture, philosophy, academia, literature, science, love, and the human condition.

This talented cast features Emma Will of Squantum as Thomasina Coverly, Brendan Caulfield of Dorchester as Septimus Hodge, Josh Phillips of Avon as Jellaby, Alex Bailey of Scituate as Ezra Chater, Jessica Juan-Aquino of Randolph as Chloe Coverly, Jack Serio of Milton as Bernard Nightingale, Brandon Williams of Dorchester as Richard Noakes, Julia Clark of Milton as Lady Croom, John McDonough of Canton as Captain Brice, Max Gustafson of Marshfield as Valentine Coverly and Ryan Stack of Waltham as Augustus Coverly.

The story implies that no human achievement is irretrievably lost. Questioning the certainty of knowledge and the way information and its interpretation changes from past to present, The Dever Players present a thoughtful and accessible comedy that grows richer as the viewer continues to form connections between characters and themes. “Arcadia” promises an intriguing experience that will keep viewers thinking long after the curtain closes.
