Embark on an exciting voyage though the evolution of American popular dance from its African roots and European influences to soft shoe, tap, minstrel, and social dancing.

Our journey ends with today's lively Broadway and contemporary dances.

The Celebrate! series, appropriate for family audiences and children ages 5 and up, highlights America's rich cultural diversity through the arts.

All performances are free and begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Stephen E. Smith Center at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Columbia Point, Boston.

In order to optimize your comfort and enjoyment, reservations are now required for all visitors to this free program. Small children are seated on a carpeted floor with their caretakers.

To make a reservation, call 617-514-1644.
