A fun musical that's the perfect outing for the whole family.

Don't miss the upcoming show, 'Hooray for Hollywood,' at the Holliston Middle School next weekend.

Roberta Weiner's latest musical revue is sure to be a winner, based on this reporter's viewing of the 20 minute samplings offered this past Saturday during Holliston's Spring Stroll.

Their first number was the title song, with a humorous sketch first depicting glamorous old time Hollywood, complete with impatient directors and eager starlets-to-be.

The dancing was just glitzy enough to portray showy Tinseltown.

Their second number was 'Food, Glorious Food,' from the well loved musical movie, 'Oliver.' Here the actresses and actors did a sparkling job singing the world of Charles Dickens' orphanage to life, where in their fantasies the orphans never go hungry because there is always plenty of it.

Their last number was from 'Footloose,' a musical fable about a town where dancing has been prohibited.

As the cast belted out the lyrics, they danced in abandon befitting the rebellion that takes place when the kids defy their elders and dance anyway.

I was sure Kevin Bacon was in there somewhere.

These three songs only represent a small portion of the entertainment in store for those who opt to see the show in its entirety.

It's playing Thursday May 9 at 6 PM, Friday May 10 at 7 PM, and both at 4 and 7 PM on Saturday, May 11.
