To care for their ailing mother, two children must buy milk. Penniless, they sing in the marketplace to raise money. However, evil organ grinder Brundibar has other plans. A fairytale opera for the entire family, Brundibar celebrates the triumph of the helpless over tyranny and the transformative power of art.
Originally performed by children at the Terezin concentration camp, Brundibar was adapted by Pulitzer Prize Winner Tony Kushner – adding his companion piece, But the Giraffe!
