The Tamagawa Daigaku Taiko & Dance Group, presented by the Japan Society of Boston, is a unique music and dance experience featuring extraordinary Taiko drumming and Japanese folkloric dancing. Heart-pounding drum rhythms intermingle with elegant dances in breath-taking fashion creates an unforgettable performance.
With 40 performers on stage, the Tamagawa Daigaku Taiko & Dance Group return to the U.S. this year with scheduled appearances in Boston, New York , Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Since 2010, New York City performances have been sold out.
With growing numbers of fans, they have been invited to the Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Festival every year since 2003, and the Group has been on tour around the world since 1961.
This very popular and amazing performance of high-energy Taiko drumming and Japanese folkloric dance will take place at the Berklee Performance Center, located at 136 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA.
