This will mark the orchestra’s debut performance in its brand new venue at the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium at the Doherty Middle School on 50 Bartlet Street in Andover.
As principal flutist in the orchestra, Marjorie Hogan holds a Master of Music in Applied Flute from the Hartt School of Music and a BA in Music Performance from the University of South Florida.
Also an accomplished director of the Merrimack Valley Flute Choir since 1997, Ms. Hogan teaches flute privately in Nashua, NH.
Harp soloist Rachel Brandwein is the winner of the 2014 Mu Phi Epsilon International Solo Competition.
As such, Ms. Brandwein performs and gives outreach classes throughout the United States.
Rachel has earned degrees from the University of Michigan, The Juilliard School and Stony Brook University.
She teaches harp and has recently published original compositions on her website: www.rachelbrandwein.com.
The orchestra, under the direction of George Monseur, will round out this concert by also performing Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and Gliere’s Symphony No.
1 in E flat major.

- Park in the lot in front of the Auditorium or on the street. For handicapped access, turn right onto Bartlet St., go just past Andover Town Hall, and turn left into the parking lot for the Doherty Middle School. The entrance is at the back of the lot on the left.
