This year, Needham Community Theatre (NCT) is proud to be celebrating its 60th anniversary.
In honor of this momentous occasion, we are pleased to welcome back Gerard Alessandrini, a Needham native and former NCT member, as we present our spring show, Forbidden Broadway Comes to Needham: The Farce Awakens.
Conceived and written by Alessandrini, Forbidden Broadway is a musical revue parodying Broadway musicals.
The original version opened in January, 1982, in New York City and ran for 2332 performances.
Forbidden Broadway spoofs Broadway show tunes characters and plots of contemporary and current Broadway musicals.
Needham's version will include spoofs of Wicked, Les Miserables, Chicago, Annie, Mamma Mia, Oliver, Mary Poppins, Frozen, The Lion King, and many others.
