The Gardner’s resident chamber orchestra, A Far Cry, aims to pass on the spirit of collaboratively-empowered music to the next generation.
The group will be joined by baritone Dashon Burton, whose voice has been praised as “enormous, [and] thrilling … [and] seemingly capable ...
[of] raising the dead' (Wall Street Journal).
The program, “Misty,” will include: Barber, Dover Beach; Kilar, Orawa; Wirén, Serenade; Suk, Meditation on an Old Czech Hymn; Takemitsu, Dorian Horizon; and Eisler, Ernste Gesänge.
