Celebrate the Year of the Rooster in this fun and interactive show featuring a jolly selection of hand puppet vignettes based on popular songs and well-known Chinese sayings. Discover pearls of Rooster-themed wisdom from stories such as: “Hen crows like a Rooster in the morning,” “Fail to steal the Rooster, while it eats up all your bait!,” and “Rooster talks to Duck.”
Audiences will be introduced to traditional Chinese New Year customs and foods (red envelopes, fish, and “nian gao”) and also meet some other animals of the Chinese zodiac (Tigers, Rabbits, Dragons, Snakes, Horses, Sheep, and Monkeys).
Sing-alongs, games, and a post-show hands-on demonstration will make the Chinese language and cultural experience accessible to even the youngest audience members!
