The production will run August 16 - September 2 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, located at 527 Tremont Street in Boston’s South End.
A Good Death tells the story of Adrienne, a queer woman who is left in a coma following a tragic hit-and-run accident.
Adrienne’s best friend Ruth has power of attorney to make decisions on her behalf, but Adrienne’s estranged and deeply religious mother, Margaret, has different beliefs about who her daughter is and how her fate should be decided.
The play explores the intersections of science and faith, queer identity, and the power of chosen family.
It received a workshop presentation at the 2016 Toronto Fringe Festival where it was critically acclaimed for its strong writing and empathy for all of its characters.
