Ms. Faye will present a forty-five minute multi-media, interactive portrait of this famous woman, who coincidentally was also a stamp collector.
Ms. Faye has performed her impersonation at schools, libraries, community centers and historical societies.
Examples of the stamps Sally Ride collected will be on exhibit.
This performance, appropriate for all ages, is not only entertaining but also helps audience understand the influence Sally Ride has had on history and in encouraging young girls to enter the fields of science and math.
The show is part of the Museum’s “Stamps Come Alive” program which will also present actor Ted Zalewski as Joseph Roulin, the postman for Vincent van Gogh, on June 2 at 2:00 and showcase in the fall Faye as Amelia Earhart, Zalewski as Teddy Roosevelt and a live owl presentation featuring he snowy owl Hedwig, who delivered the mail in the Harry Potter stories.
Admission to all the shows is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for children.
