From Academy Award®-nominated directing duo Ben Proudfoot and Kris Bowers, The Last Repair Shop grants an all-access pass to the nondescript downtown warehouse where a dwindling handful of devoted craftspeople keep over 80,000 student instruments in good repair.
This film, which won the 2024 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short, tells the story of four unassuming heroes who ensure no student is deprived of the joy of music.
It is also a reminder of how music can be the best medicine, stress reliever and even an escape from poverty.
Free, reservations are encouraged.
