The day’s activities will include:
• 1 p.m. – Doors open – let the crafts begin!
• 1:15 p.m. – Performance by Delaney Carlson: Bagpiper March with Bubbles the Elephant, mascot of TLE®
• 1:30 p.m. – Various entertainers
• 2 p.m. – Ed Morgan, Music Man Toddler Show
• 3 p.m. – Auction and raffle with Bubbles
• 4 p.m. –A Sing-A-Long Send Off to Close the Wonderful Day!
Additionally, during the month of March, TLE®at Concord staff members will be raising money by singing “Melodies for Melody.” Anyone that wishes to donate at least $1 to Melody’s cause can have a TLE® staff member sing a melody of the donator’s choosing!
The Concord center and TLE® centers nationwide will be raising money throughout March in an effort to raise the $150,000 needed for Melody’s full stem cell replacement.
Melody was diagnosed with Systemic Scleroderma in early 2012 and since then she has completed chemotherapy and trial medications.
Recently, she was approved by Northwestern Memorial Hospital to undergo the stem cell transplant needed to continue her fight.Systemic Scleroderma is a debilitating, painful life threatening autoimmune disease, which affects about 300,000 Americans.
The cause and cure for Systematic Scleroderma are still unknown.
