For one weekend each year, the ArtsFest transforms the grounds of Adams Field into an artistic hub complete with artwork, live entertainment, crafts and children's activities that has become an autumn highlight for many Quincy families.Bring the family down to Merrymount Park on Saturday, September 25th and Sunday, September 26th for the 22nd Annual Quincy ArtsFest, the signature event of the Quincy Art Association, and one of the best family-oriented art shows around Boston!
The Juried Show will feature more than 200 different works of art including watercolors, oil paintings, sculptures, photographs, mixed media, children’s art, and more.
ArtsFest will also include a “Best of Quincy” category that encourages artists to capture the beauty of Quincy’s parks, open spaces, and historic locations.
On Saturday, September 28th the Quincy Symphony Orchestra will host a free concert at 1:00pm, followed by a performance by Devri, Boston’s Irish Band.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the sounds of the afternoon.
In addition to the artwork and live entertainment, ArtsFest will offer a hay ride, pony rides, moon-bounces, and much more.
This event is co-sponsored by the City of Quincy, the Quincy Art Association, and Quincy Access Television, with contributions from the Janet Burke Mann Foundation for the Arts.
