The annual Four Seasons Hotel Boston Run of Hope, a family-friendly fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, June 11, 2011, will be hosted by Maria Menounos, Access Hollywood special correspondent, NBC news reporter, actress and author, Boston Mayor Tom Menino, Red Sox wife Tiffani Ortiz, and other special guests will join Menounos in support of this 5k Run and 2k Walk along the Charles River Esplanade. All proceeds will directly benefit pediatric cancer care and research at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center (MGH).
Event Schedule
8:30am: Registration opens. Join us for games and activities throughout!
10:15am: Kids' 50-yard dash 'fun run'
10:20am: Pre-race stretch with special guests
10:30am: 5k run begins
10:35am: 2k walk begins
11:30am: Award ceremony, including raffle and fundraising prize winners
A Boston native, Maria Menounos will kick off the Run of Hope festivities with the Children’s 50-yard “Fun Run,” followed by the 5k Run and 2k Walk.
Before, during, and after, participants will enjoy games, a host of incredible raffle prizes (including a meet and greet with David Ortiz during the Red Sox batting practice and stays at luxury properties throughout New England), amazing food prepared by Four Seasons Chefs, plus an Awards Ceremony during which the top runners and fundraisers will be honored. Top fundraisers receive trips to Four Seasons properties worldwide - airfare included.
Four Seasons Hotel Boston is proud to partner with the David Ortiz Children’s Fund for the second straight year. Together, their mission is to help children receive the best possible care at MGH. The Run of Hope also supports Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ global effort to help find a cure for cancer.
To date, the company has raised over $600 million toward the cause.
