The race will kick-off at noon and mothers, aunts, daughters, sisters and friends will run through Boston’s Back Bay and along the Charles River to the cheers of thousands supporters.
As one of the largest all-women 10K events in the United States, Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women participants include: elite athletes, wheelchair racers, recreational runners and walkers.
The day’s events will include a guest appearance by Joan Benoit Samuelson, legendary Olympian and two-time Boston marathon champion, as well as a 1K-fitness event for kids around the historic Boston Common.
At the Health & Fitness Pavilion, fitness clothing and accessories will be on display as well as samples of healthy foods, fitness demonstrations, and many other tools used to encourage people to take part in an active and healthy lifestyle.
Participants can now register for this event either by mail or online, and this year as a Tufts Health Plan member, participants can receive 10% of the registration fee.
Completed entry forms and a check or credit card payment of $40 can be mailed to Conventures, Inc.
at One Design Center Place, Suite 718, Boston, MA 02210.
Mail-in registration must be received by Monday, October 7, 2013.
Online registration is available at www.tuftshealthplan.com/tufts10K until 9 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2013.
Online registration is $40 and must be paid by credit card.
Online registrants who submit after 9 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2012, must pick up their number and registration materials at the Boston Common on race day.
For Tufts Health Plan members, by entering their 11-digit member ID numbers on the registration postcard they receive in the mail, or on the online application, the 10% discount will be applied to the regular $40 registration fee.
(Note: when registering online their member ID codes will serve as the 'Promotional Discount Code').
Registration is also available on the day of the race, on Monday, October 14, 2013, from 7-11 a.m. on the Boston Common Parade Grounds.
Race day registration is $50 and payment is accepted by credit card, cash, or personal check.
We encourage everyone who is planning to run this year’s race to register early by using our online services or mail-in options.
