This professionally timed flat 5k course through Boston's Back Bay not only has a fun holiday theme with prizes for best costume and jingle bells for each participant, but also a goal to raise funds for Special Olympics Massachusetts!
Our athletes with intellectual disabilities have to overcome health, bullying, and societal challenges every day.
We’re challenging you to step out of your comfort zone to fundraise and run on behalf of a Special Olympics athlete.
As part of the Champions Challenge, you’ll pledge to raise $500 which will sponsor an athlete for one year and will allow them to overcome their own challenges through the power of sports.
Just like we do with our Special Olympics athletes, we’ll give you the tools to succeed.
Leading up to the race all participants will receive a personal fundraising web page, online fundraising tools that make fundraising easy, guidance and support from dedicated Special Olympics’ staff, additional incentive and gear options if you meet or exceed $500.
All participants will receive jingle bells to tie to your sneakers to help with the festivities and we encourage everyone to dress in your best holiday themed attire!
We'll give out awards for the best costumes.
