Rolie Polie Guacamole is a hip “kindie” band. Their high energy, interactive shows are a mix of funk, rock and folk music mashed into original tunes about natural living, eating healthy and staying active.
The band is a hit across the east coast and mid-west, with top picks by Boston.com, Time Out Kids NY, and Time Out Kids Chicago. Their latest album Houses of the Moly, released in 2012, won a Parents' Choice Silver Award and a NAPPA Honor's Award.
Rolie Polie Guacamole is singer/guitarist Frank Gallo, bassist Andrew Tuzhilin and drummer Peter Barr. The trio tours frequently, and will be on tour in Seattle this summer, performing songs from their three children’s albums - Rolie Polie Guacamole; Time for Hummus; and Houses of the Moly.
Frank and Andrew are the founders of the group, whom also teach a music & movement class, featuring books, shakers, balls and original Guacamole songs, in addition to frequent sing-a-long classes.
Rolie Polie Guacamole will perform a 45-minute concert in Bakalar Recital Hall at Brookline Music School, 25 Kennard Road, Brookline, MA 02445 on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00pm.
