Instead of landing in the Concord River by Egg Rock and floating down to the Lowell Road Boat Launch, the rubber ducks will take a dip in the chlorinated waters of the Concord Recreation Department’s pool at Emerson Playground.
“It’s definitely going to be a different event this year,” said Tracey Marano, president of Milldam Nursery School. “We are literally going to put close to 2,000 ducks into the pool. It’s not going to be as much of a race as it will be a duck pluck. All the ducks will be in the pool and we’ll pull them out one-by-one.”
Proceeds to benefit Mildam Nursury School and Minuteman Arc Early Intervention Program.
