Evergreen Garden is a developing member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association. Evergreen Garden offers parent/child classes for birth to three. A two-day preschool program, a three-day preschool program, and Kindergarten classes are offered.
The program encourages imaginative play, developing a capacity for work, and social engagement. The environment is warm, loving and calm. Children are provided ample opportunity for gross and fine-motor development, which creates the brain connections needed for later academic learning.
The Oxbow Schoolhouse, a one room schoolhouse serving children in grades 1-6, is located in the same building as Evergreen Garden Playschool. Its philosophy also draws from the Waldorf School Movement, emphasizing equal development of academic abilities, emotional growth and the capacity to do meaningful work.
