WCNS was founded in 1968 by a group of parents and continues today to offer a positive, first-school experience for preschool children and their families. At WCNS we provide a welcoming and supportive community that fosters learning and development in a nurturing environment.
Working together, parents and teachers create a unique relationship that enhances opportunities for families to play, grow, and learn together.
The WCNS curriculum is play-based and child-centered. Children are provided with learning materials carefully selected by our highly experienced staff to encourage exploration. Then each child is given the space and encouragement needed to develop and learn at his or her own pace.
WCNS is a play-based, child-centered cooperative preschool offering toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classes as well as extended day options. Our program is complemented by a music and movement specialist, and a staff literacy consultant.
Stop by our January 24th Open House. The evening begins at 7:30 pm in the auditorium and allows for plenty of time for you to visit the classrooms and talk to parents and staff.
