In 2012, SPM became the first Diocesan school in Massachusetts to embrace a certified STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program which is the basis for the growing fields of engineering and science.
Using ‘Project Lead the Way’ curriculum in cooperation with Worcester Polytechnic Institute, this program continues to grow.
SPM has 33 honors programs and 12 advanced placement courses.
Due to the success of SPMs Virtual High School (VHS) program, enrollment has doubled for the 2013-2014 school year.
VHS allows students access to over 200 additional courses including psychology, journalism, environmental science and Mandarin Chinese.
The new school year also brings dual enrollment opportunities with Assumption College for highly motivated students in their junior and senior years.
The Open House will showcase SPM’s new athletic fields.
The school has 23 athletic programs including MIAA Division I Varsity, Junior Varsity and Junior High levels.
With 60% of the current student body participating in sports programs, the facilities are an integral part of school life at SPM.

Peter Marian was an important piece of my preparation as a top college student-athlete.
Now, as a current coach here at SPM, I am excited to be given the opportunity to advance the lives of other student-athletes.” says Meg Lemire, 2006 graduate and SPM Junior Varsity Field Hockey Coach.
“I am thrilled to see the new advancements to the SPM athletic facilities and I know that athletes will receive exemplary guidance and support to help further their athletic careers.” Ms Lemire recently graduated from St.
Anselm’s College with a degree in Criminal Justice.
Student driven clubs offer extracurricular activities including Art, Drama, Math, Economics, Habitat for Humanity, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), Liturgical Choir and Mock Trial.
