School Vacation Week at YMCA Boston

Licensed School Age Childcare offers programming with low ratios. Children will be engaged in activities including arts & crafts, sports and games, cooking, swimming, rock climbing, outside play, literacy, and more.

Parents provide a lunch and two snacks. Children must enrolled in K2 and must be no older than 14 years of age. Children need a bathing suit, towel, and comfortable clothes so that they can fun. Program follows the Department of Early Education and Care regulations.

8 am - 6 pm; On Christmas Eve, the program closes at 2pm , and on New Year's Eve, it closes at 3pm.

$35 per day for Oak Square YMCA members and $40 per day for non-members.

The Oak Square YMCA is accessible by public transportation.

Bus Lines: The #57 (Kenmore Square to Watertown Square)
The #64 (Kendall Square & Central Square to Oak Square)
The #501 (express bus from Brighton Center to Downtown)

Ample parking is provided behind our YMCA off Washington Street.


VIA THE MASS PIKE (I-90) TO EXIT 17:
Traveling EAST toward Boston:

Take exit 17, at end of exit go straight ahead.
Take third right at traffic light onto PARK Street (there is a sign that says BRIGHTON).
Take first left onto TREMONT Street (there is another sign that says BRIGHTON).
At the end of Tremont Street there is a traffic light. You are in Oak Square.
Take a right onto WASHINGTON Street. The Oak Square YMCA is on your left.

Traveling WEST toward Natick/Framingham:

Take exit 17, at end of exit go straight ahead, following signs for Newton.
Take your first left immediately after the Sheraton Tara Hotel and go back over the Pike.
Get over to the right lane.
Take third right at traffic light onto PARK Street (there is a sign that says BRIGHTON).
Continue on, following same directions for people traveling east that are described above.

FROM DOWNTOWN VIA STORROW DRIVE:

Follow Storrow Drive west. It will turn into Soldier's Field Road just past the Double Tree Guest Suites Hotel.
Stay on this roadway. Once you are past the hotel get in the left lane and stay there.
Stay in the left lane as the road turns left. Harvard Stadium will be on your left.
At the set of lights go straight ahead. Follow this road - Soldier's Field Road - keeping the stadium on your left and the park and Charles River on your right. Continue past WBZ, Martignetti's and Staples.
After the McDonald's and International House of Pancakes (IHOP) restaurants, take a left at the second set of lights under a bridge. This is Brooks Street.
Follow Brooks Street to the end and turn right onto FANEUIL STREET.
The YMCA is an eighth of a mile up the road on your left. Go past building, turn left after the park and go around it, turn left again onto Washington Street, parking is behind the building and entered from Washington Street.
