Come to the Old State House Museum to drop-in on a hands-on historical activity! Learn what it would be like to be an 18th century sailor! Make and take home your own piece of scrimshaw, whale bone carving, which was a popular pastime for sailors in the 19th century. You can also try your hand at tying sailing knots and listen to popular sea shanties.
