Bottle Cap Art
Patriots’ Day, Mon. April 18, 10 am to 7 pm and every day during school vacation week
Have fun recycling bottle caps into art with your own initials and designs. Make a magnet for free and get ideas on how you can make your own bottlecaps into keychains, necklaces and rings, and even mosaics!
Recycled Vases and Boxes
Friday, April 22, 10 am to 7 pm Celebrate Earth Day by turning plastic bottles into flower vases, shoe boxes into photo keepers, and take-out containers into desk accessories using 'stained glass' tissue paper ($FREE - bring your own surface to recycle, or purchase one of ours)
Recycled CD Clock
Saturday, April 23, 10 am to 7 pm Bring an old CD and we'll show you how to turn it into a working clock, with your own artwork, shrink-art numbers, and tiny glass beads. ($12 includes clockparts)

Calling all kids, adults, classrooms, scout troops, and families
Our Trash to Treasure eco-art challenge kicks off on Patriots Day,, Monday April 18th. Here’s a fun way to help the environment, and express your creativity: turn something headed for the trash pile into a treasure you’ll want to keep - and proudly display in our art show!
HOW TO ENTER:
1) Pick up an entry form (and have fun with bottle cap art while you’re here)
2) Find something that has been thrown away or put in the recycle bin and give it new life as something useful or decorative.
3) Bring your finished artwork to ARTBEAT for our Trash to Treasure art exhibit (any time from now through Sunday, June 5)
4) Invite your friends to VOTE for their favorites during Feast of the East 6/18/11
You could win a prize donated by a local Capitol Square business.
