Gardening Program
Gardening provides a unique platform for learning about the nature, ecology, as well as where our food comes from.
During April vacation we will be starting a new garden plot provided by the Curriculum Lab.
Children will learn about greenhouses, raised beds, container gardening, seeds and germination, compost piles, and worm composting.
We will begin projects that will carry on into the summer and children will be able to see and taste the fruits of their work.
Art Activities
During the April vacation, children will participate in fun and open ended art projects.
We aim to provide an environment for free expression and experimentation in a variety of mediums.
We seek to utilize recycled materials provided by the Beautiful Stuff Project as well as traditional art materials.
Art activities will involve painting, sculpture, origami, collaborative projects, and mixed media.
