Interact with live snakes, learn about their habitats, and help craft parts of a library display on Earth Day because all of Mother Earth's creature are lovely, even snakes!
Snakes Awake at Spring Break will feature local snake expert Rick Rock (the Snake Man) and the Cape Ann Vernal Pool Team, who will discuss snakes and their habitats, then give participants the opportunity to get up close and personal with the legless reptiles.
Afterwards, the group will craft snakes and their environments that will serve as the May display at the Waltham Public Library.
Snakes Awake at Spring Break takes place on April 22, 1:30 pm – 3 pm at the Prospect Hill Park Lodge at 314 Totten Pond Road.
The program is free but space is limited, so registration is required.
