This hidden jewel offers top notch outdoor education and a fantastic opportunity for kids to get a full outdoor experience, something they may not have had much of a chance to do during the pandemic.
The camp offers fun filled activities such as fire-building, outdoor cooking, archery, S.T.E.M programs, pioneering, environmental studies, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, arts and crafts, and creative arts such as animation, theatre, music and even ax throwing!
NE Base Camp is really ahead of the game in terms of what they offer, if it’s an outdoor activity, they have it. The Camp, now open to the public, is owned and operated by the Boy Scouts Spirit of Adventure Council and follows all Covid-19 Protocols.
With the pandemic still affecting day to day life for families, Base Camp is drawing increased interest as an educational alternative to public/private schools as they offer a forest school on site which is hugely important especially during vacation week and the summer months when kids can’t be in school.
