Animation Club will have you learning the fundamentals of story-telling and movie-making as you develop and film several stop-motion animations using both digital animation and physical 3D objects. In addition to learning about different forms of animation, you'll learn the art of character and prop design, camera angles and filming, how to use editing software and adding special effects to your movies, as well as planning and organizational strategies. At the end of the Club, take home your final movies to share with family and friends.
In the Gamemaker class you'll learn that while playing video games is fun, playing ones you make yourself is even better! Using CTWorkshop tutorials and the help of knowledgeable instructors, work with the software Gamemaker Pro to learn the concepts and steps used to make working video games. You'll also get to take home your completed games and can challenge your friends to beat their top scores. A “lite” version of the software used is available for free online, so you can actually use your newly learned game making skills after class is over to continue making games at home.
CTWorkshop Gamemaker and Animation Club will run from July 27th – July 31st at 120 Meriam Rd in Concord.
Animation will be in the morning from 9am-12pm, Monday-Friday.
