According to the Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL), Field Day is the most popular on-the-air operating event in Amateur Radio. Always on the fourth full weekend of June, the event draws tens of thousands of amateur radio operators across the country to participate by setting up public demonstrations of the Amateur Radio service.

You don't have to be a contest operator or have HF privileges. In fact, you don't even need a radio license to participate, as you can operate with one of the club's Advanced or Extra class licensees as the control operator. On-site training will be provided.

Goals:
--Emergency Preparedness Exercise
--Getting new, inactive, and potential hams on the air
--Presenting amateur radio to the public, especially science students
--Demonstrating amateur radio's emergency capabilities
--Having fun
