What is it like to step out of a space capsule traveling at 17,500 MPH? What kind of equipment do you need? Join Discovery Center Educator Mal Cameron for a space walking journey. Ed White took the first American steps in space on June 3, 1965. View breathtaking images from the first steps by White on the Moon to the building of the International Space Station. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Discovery Center observatory will be open from 7-10 PM. Following the program will be a FREE Skywatch outside with the New Hampshire Astronomical Society including personal telescope advice and assistance. Telescope viewing begins at 7 PM.

From east: Rt 4 W to I-393 W. Take exit 1 and follow the signs to the Discovery Center parking lot.

Look for the 92' tall Mercury-Redstone Rocket at the entry! Parking is FREE!
