Try a hand at using instruments in the new optics/spectroscopy lab to understand the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum and explore how mirrors and lenses are used to create and enlarge images.

Use professional spectroscopes to see how elements can be “finger printed” to reveal the chemical make-up of stars, their motions, their size and temperature. Make a simple spectroscope (that you can have your students build) to enhance understanding of how they work.

Targeting NH State Science Frameworks and NECAP assessment, our professional development workshops will assist you in your efforts to be well informed with content knowledge and practically equipped to teach this required topic.
