Join us at The Discovery Museums and Celebrate National Engineers Week! Discover how math, geometry, structure and engineering come together as you help construct a 6-foot geodesic dome!

Learn about Buckminster Fuller, inventor of the geodesic dome and see pictures of geodesic structures from sports stadiums and houses to buckyballs, carbon nanotubes, diatoms and viruses. Use buckyballs to make your own small structures, and learn how to use everyday materials to make your own small dome at home.

When you're done, explore and discovery in our two museums!
