Dr. Andrew West, Assistant Professor of Astronomy at Boston University, studies the smallest stars in the Galaxy.

Learn how large, digital surveys are transforming our understanding of the cosmos in ways that were previoulsy unimagined as Dr. West presents results from efforts to use the smallest – but most numerous – stars (red dwarfs) to inform us about the shape, movement and evolution of our own Milky Way Galaxy. Doors open at 6:30 PM.

The Discovery Center exhibits and observatory are open until 10 PM on 1st Fridays.
