Astronomer-musician Sir William Herschel (played by R.P Hale) as he recounts a full life of discovery and invention. Our exhibit hall and observatory will be open from 6:30-10pm.

Spend the evening with astronomer-musician Sir William Herschel,played by R.P.

Hale, as he recounts a full life of discovery and invention.

Herschel's discovery of Uranus was only the first of his many accomplishments which included building the world's then largest telescope, discovery of infrared light and the real nature of our Galaxy.

His sister Caroline became Europe's first professional female astronomer.
Mozart and Haydn admired Herschel's music, some of which will be
presented on the harpsichord.
