'Electricity, Epilepsy, and How your Brain Stays Balanced' by Kelsey Tyssowski
The brain's main job is to transmit and store information, and it does that by sending electrical signals between its cells.
But if these electrical signals get out of hand, the brain can't function as usual--an electrically overactive brain is the basis of epilepsy.
From the basic workings of your neurons to their impairments in disease, we'll explore how your brain maintains right balance of electrical activity.
All Spring lectures are held in Pfizer Lecture Hall, which is located in Harvard University Mallinckrodt Chemistry Building.
