Imagine driving around Winchester on a snowy afternoon with cups of steaming hot chocolate, listening to Christmas carols and glimpsing all of our townspeople’s creative talents channeled into their front doorways. Please join us in this magical event. Truly, this is a wonderful opportunity to begin a new family tradition.
Showcase your decorating talents and have fun too. By entering our contest you will give the entire town a gift that doesn’t need wrapping. Share the beauty and wonder of this holiday season.
Winning designs will be featured in the Winchester Star and on the Winchester Home & Garden Club’s website. Winners will receive an engraved award and a one year membership in the Winchester Home & Garden Club.
The two categories of the competition are residential and business. All Winchester residents and businesses are invited to participate. The doorways will be judged on their creativity, theme and overall compositions. Lighting will not be considered.
All participants will prominently display a red 4” x 6” sign indicating they are officially registered for this event.
Applications will be available at Book Ends and the Public Library. All entries must be received by December 8th. Judging will take place during daylight hours between December 9th~12th. The entry fee is $20 which will help support beautification projects in Winchester.
