Learn ways to welcome in Shabbat and create a special time of the week for your family to gather at a free event on Friday, April 23, at the Mansfield Public Library (255 Hope Street). Families with children under age five can listen as Rabbi Kafka from Temple Israel of the South Shore sets the tone through stories and music that will help usher in Shabbat.

Families will make their own challah cover followed by a snack of fresh baked challah. The event takes place from 3:30-4:30pm. Space is limited. Register by contacting south@jccgb.org or 781-795-0510.

The program is sponsored by the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston and the Jewish Family and Children's Service of Greater Boston with support from Combined Jewish Philanthropies.
