Meet some of the wonderfully talented authors and illustrators whose books inspired Family Trees: A Celebration of Children's Literature. During this afternoon event (1:00–4:00) these special guests will be located throughout the Concord Museum near their “Family Tree,” to talk with visitors and sign copies of their book.

Included are Claire Beaton, illustrator of One Moose, Twenty Mice; Terry Golson, author of Tillie Lays an Egg; Peter Reynolds, author and illustrator of The Dot; Carolyn Curtis, author of I Took the Moon for a Walk; Susan Meddaugh, author and illustrator of Martha Speaks; Dan Page and Mark Bellerose, author and illustrator of I’ve List My First Tooth.

During this benefit event, Museum admission is $15 adults, $10 seniors, $6 children (4-18); children under 4 and Members Free. Family Trees admission includes all of the Museum galleries and the special exhibition, A little scrap for recollection’s sake: Quilts from the Concord Museum.

The Concord Museum is easily accessible from Route 495 or Route 128 and Route 2 and is located at the intersection of Lexington Road and Cambridge Turnpike, ¼ mile east of Concord Center. The Museum’s entrance is on Cambridge Turnpike; parking is free. The Museum is wheelchair accessible.
