Join us for slightly spooky family fun during the evening at the zoo. Get in a ghostly mood with a spooky wagon ride, haunted house, hay-bale maze, and much more—if you dare! Costumes are encouraged.

Buttonwood Park Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo will take place this year on October 17-19 and 24-26. The event runs from 6 to 9pm each evening. Boo at the Zoo is sponsored by Bristol County Savings Bank. The whole zoo will be filled with fun Halloween decorations and is the ideal way for families to celebrate Halloween together.

Boo at the Zoo features candy treat stations, a hay maze, a Friendly Haunted Forest (for younger children), a Batman Haunted House (for older kids), a lighted pumpkin patch, wagon rides and train rides, a gruesome touch table, and Kids’ Craft Time. Halloween specialty items will be available in the Bear’s Den Café and North Woods Gift Store.

The proceeds from Boo at the Zoo support the Zoo’s educational and family programs. Admission is as follows: Zoo Members: $5 adults, $3 children; Nonmembers: $9 adults, $7 children; under 3 free. For more information, visit www.bpzoo.org. Buttonwood Park Zoo is located at 425 Hawthorn Street, New Bedford, MA 02740.

5-starTrip To The Buttonwood Zoo
I am a Nanny, so I am always looking for new places to go. I was very surprised with this Zoo. The day i was there the train was not working because they were setting up for their Helloween celabraction. I had never been to this Zoo before, the animals were very well kept. The lay out of the zoo was perfect, no large hills, so it was easy to push a carraige with a child in it. They also rented carraiges there, for a reasonable price. I found the cost to get into the zoo a very good value. So if you are looking for a fun spot to take the kids, pack a lunch and the kids in the car and take a trip to the Zoo!
