An arts and music festival honoring Lawrence’s rich labor history and multi-cultural roots and present, while commemorating the 1912 Bread and Roses Strike.

The Annual Bread and Roses Heritage Festival takes place on Labor Day, September 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the Campagnone Common in Lawrence, MA.

It is a free, one-day ‘open air’ celebration for the whole family.

The only Labor Day Festival in the East!

Our top-line performers are Bread and Puppet Theater – Billy Dean Thomas ( hip hop ) – Ezekiel’s Wheels ( Klezmer ) – BOMBantilla ( Bomba ) – Prateek ( Folk / Singer-Songwriter) – AM Goldn ( Alternative R & B ) – Los Negros De La Rumba ( Salsa Percussion Group ) – The Party Band ( punk/funk brass band ) – and more!

Lots of family activities, historic trolley tours.

Visit our community discussion forum and the popular Lawrence History Live speakers’ tent, 12:00 to 3:30 p.m.
