Every year the city of Boston honors the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a speaker series followed by a celebration event that showcases the outstanding talents and academic achievement of our students.
Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration with the Boston Public Schools: Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King! Jan 17. 10am performance for schools and 6pm performance for parents and community. John Hancock Hall.
The educational and artistic focus of both the series and the celebration is voice. Voices have shaped American life from its inception – voices of struggle, voices of change, voices for equality, and voices against injustice. These voices continue to speak to us today through artists, through political and community leaders and through local activists
