Boston Harbor Now is excited for the return of our sold out series, Spectacle Summer Nights!Spectacle Island will stay open for an after-hours experience – an evening of relaxation, fun, and music in partnership with Night Shift BrewingZaZ Restaurant.
Sit on the porch and enjoy live music, set up a picnic, grab a beer from Night Shift and a wrap from Zaz, hike the trails, or relax with a view!

A Performance by Rob Flax and his Boom Chick Trio
About the performers
Rob Flax possesses a rare combination of skills: he is an award-winning virtuoso violinist, classically trained but known for his jazz and improvisational pyrotechnics and irresistible grooves; he is also a powerhouse vocalist, capable of silky crooning a la Nat King Cole or visceral Chicago blues shouts.
Rob has performed nationally and internationally with groups of many different styles, sharing the stage with B.B.
King and Tower of Power, Trans Siberian Orchestra and YouTube star Jacob Collier, among many others.
He is a graduate of the New England Conservatory, and he currently lives in Boston.
For many years Rob performed mostly solo—it takes a special kind of musician to keep pace with Rob’s stylistic breadth and depth!—but after much searching he’s finally found a band that can keep up: Boom Chick Trio is a new “supergroup” featuring incredible instrumentalists who have chops for days, but know how to balance their prowess in service of the song.
With danceable grooves, flashy hot licks, clever lyrics, and beautiful vocal harmonies, this show has something for everyone!

Directions: Guests must arrive at Long Wharf North *by 4:00pm* to board the ferry to Spectacle Island. It will depart promptly at 4:30pm and will not wait for late arrivals. No refunds.
The return ferry will depart Spectacle Island at 8:00 pm, with an 8:30 pm scheduled return to Boston. *Please note that the Harbor can be busy in the evening which can cause unforeseen delays.*
