About Solar Eclipse:
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, casting the Moon's shadow on Earth.
A solar eclipse can only happen during a New Moon.
The Moon's orbit is titled 5 degrees to Earth's orbit around the Sun. (National Weather Service).

Spectacle Island, Boston, MA, 02110 map
Guests must arrive at Long Wharf North *by 12:30 pm* to board the ferry to Spectacle Island. It will depart promptly at 1:00 pm and will not wait for late arrivals. No refunds.
The return ferry will depart Spectacle Island at 4:30 pm, with an 5:00 pm scheduled return to Boston. *Please note that the Harbor can be busy in the evening which can cause unforeseen delays.*

- Island Accessibilty for April 8: Due to ongoing dock and trail maintenance from off-season storms there will be limited accessibilty. All guests will traverse a flight of stairs when disembarking the ferry, and trails have experienced significant wash-out.
